We went into the process of finding a doula with high expectations which Janel far exceeded. We are first time parents who were looking for education and support during our pregnancy and delivery. When we initially reached out, Janel was prompt with her response and thorough in terms of the services she offers. We found her sessions to be incredibly helpful when it came to understanding multiple aspects of the labor and delivery process from birth planning to feeding education to infant CPR, every session was thorough and helped us feel more prepared throughout our journey. During labor, Janel’s advocacy, knowledge, and compassion helped us get through a 44 hour labor. She guided us through different techniques to help my baby get into an optimal position for labor and provided us with the language and education to feel empowered in our decision making while in the hospital. It was very clear throughout the process of working with Janel that she cares about her clients and is an expert when it comes to preparing for birth, laboring, and the postpartum period. We could not have done this without Janel, we highly recommend her.
